Terms of service

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the TagGap Shopify app, TagGap.com, the free storefront scanner and the ad link checker (together, the "Service"), provided by Wells Software Consulting LLC ("we", "us"). By installing the app or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you represent. Our Privacy policy and, for store data, our Data Processing Addendum form part of these terms.

The Service

TagGap compares your Shopify orders with the purchases your connected analytics and ad platforms report (Google Analytics 4 and Meta today; Google Ads and TikTok when released), scores each destination, and explains likely causes of differences. Findings are estimates based on the data those platforms expose; some platforms report only daily totals and apply their own attribution and consent rules. The Service is read-only and never changes your store, tags or ad accounts.

Your responsibilities

  • Connect only stores, analytics properties and ad accounts you own or are authorized to use.
  • Scan or check only sites and links you own or are authorized to audit; no automated or bulk use of the free tools.
  • Keep your privacy notice accurate for your own tracking; TagGap does not make your tracking compliant.
  • Do not reverse engineer, overload or misuse the Service.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed by Shopify through your Shopify invoice, in USD, at the price shown on the plan when you subscribe. Paid plans include a free trial once per store (14 days; 30 days on Founding plans), as Shopify applies it. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from the app's Plans page or the Shopify admin; changes take effect as Shopify applies them. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription. Charges are not refunded except where required by law or by Shopify's policies. Order volume limits are described on each plan; if you exceed one, the Service keeps running for a 7-day grace period before checks slow to daily.

Founding merchant pricing

The Founding plans (Starter, Growth and Pro / Agency, each marked "Founding") are available to the first 100 stores that subscribe to one. The Founding price applies for as long as your store keeps an active subscription to a Founding plan, and switching between Founding plans keeps it. Cancelling (including by uninstalling the app) or moving to a regular plan ends it. Founding plans include the same features and limits as the regular plan of the same name. The offer is not conditional on reviews, ratings or any other action.

Third-party platforms

The Service relies on Shopify, Google, Meta and other platforms. Their terms apply to your use of them, and their availability, data and API changes are outside our control. Revoking access in those platforms stops the related features.

Data

You keep all rights in your data. You grant us the rights needed to process it to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy policy and DPA. We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics that do not identify you or any person to operate and improve the Service.

Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; for material changes to paid features we will give installed merchants reasonable notice.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or ad spend. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or to protect the Service. Data is deleted as described in the Privacy policy.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
