Meta Conversions API is not covering purchases
Meta is receiving fewer purchases than Shopify recorded, consistent with browser-only tracking.
Why it matters
Browser events are lost to blockers and consent; the Conversions API (server events) recovers part of that signal.
How to fix it
- In Meta Events Manager, open your dataset (pixel) → Overview and check whether Purchase shows both Browser and Server as sources.
- If only Browser appears, enable the Conversions API in the Facebook & Instagram app (data sharing: Maximum) or in your server-side integration.
- Confirm server events include event_id matching the browser event, so Meta deduplicates rather than double counts.
