Daily purchase totals do not match
The destination reports fewer or more purchases per day than Shopify recorded.
Why it matters
Ad platforms optimize and report on these totals, so a persistent gap skews spend decisions.
How to fix it
- Compare the same attribution and time zone: TagGap uses your Shopify store time zone and the platform’s default attribution window.
- Some gap is normal: ad platforms only count purchases they can attribute to ads, and consent rules limit tracking. Watch the trend, not one day.
- A sudden change usually follows a theme, checkout, app or consent change; check what changed on the first day of the gap.
- Follow the platform-specific guides linked from the alert for the most likely cause.
